Joanna Pacula and Sing Hi Lee in "Error in Judgment" (1998)

Joanna Pacula stars in this thriller as Liz Harper, an analyst who introduces her husband, the owner of an art gallery, to an attractive female artist suffering from severe depression and thoughts of suicide. Before long, she begins to suspect that her husband may be having an affair with the painter, but after she hires a detective to keep tabs on them, Liz begins to suspect that infidelity may be the least of her problems -- her husband may be a murderer.

ERROR IN JUDGMENT is an erotic, suspense thriller that centers around a failing art gallery business. Eric (Joe Mantegna) is an art gallery owner whose business had been steadily falling into red tape. His psychiatrist wife does everything she can to help him, but to no avail. Soon, the young, sexy, and gifted Toni walks in and assumes an unsolicited sales position that dramatically helps the galley right back onto the track of success. In the midst of the business's rebirth, the once happy couple begin to systematically have marital problems. When the question of an affair between Eric and his new good luck charm comes into question, deception and lies become the primary focus as opposed to the startling truth.

Exciting, sexy thriller-much like Fatal Attraction-that will keep you guessing to the very end! Featuring a superb cast including Joe Mantegna, Kate Jackson, Joanna Pacula and the provocative Playboy model Sung Hi Lee, this erotic drama is packed with plot twists, sensual overtones and supercharged suspense! Obviously a low budget venture with some marginal technical credits but clearly good intentions. Joe Montenga is miscast as the struggling art dealer but carries on gamely. The very brightest moments of this movie are created by the extraordinary beauty Sung Hi Lee. She makes this middling drama a film worth watching. Lee is the straw that stirs the drink, so drink up!
